Explore, Dream, Discover - Mark Twain

Our school vision and Christian values drive our curriculum, allowing children to develop physically, spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, morally and socially. Kirkoswald CE Primary School is a unique setting with a unique school community, with whom the children work alongside to become active citizens in effort to 'be the best that they can be'.

The School Improvement Plan reflects this with its strategic intentions:

- Leadership that is values driven, learning focused and inclusive. ‘So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you.’ Matthew 7:12

- An experiential curriculum which is relevant, engaging and focused on the needs of all pupils. ‘You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are walking by the way and when you lie down and when you rise.’ Deuteronomy 11:19

- A learning environment enhanced through collaborative practice within and beyond school. ‘Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow.’ Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

- Structures, staffing and resources which maximize learning. ‘Know well the condition of your flocks and give attention to your herds.’ Proverbs 27:23

- Confident, competent and creative staff, committed to their learning and outcomes for pupils. ‘I will instruct and teach you in the way you should go: I will counsel you with my eye upon you.’ Psalm 32:8
