Mr Colin Munro

Having attended Kirkoswald CofE School as a child, I was delighted to join the Governing body as a Foundation Governor in 2015, when I returned to live in the village with my family. I am a Science Teacher and Head of Year at a secondary school in Carlisle. I have a rounded experience of school-age education, having taught from ages 9 to 19 during my career. My current job includes a significant quantity of safeguarding work and pastoral care, so I am only too happy to support Kirkoswald School in these areas and as Chair of the Curriculum and Welfare committee. I have two children who both attend Kirkoswald School and it is a real joy to see them growing up in such a supportive community with the school, and its commitment to “all-round” development and outstanding education, at its centre.
